Oil Screening & Grease Removal Systems

Designing advanced systems for Oil Screening & Grease Removal for over 20 years

Oil and Grease removal from wastewater is essential, not just for the environment but also to protect the equipment downstream within the manufacturing plant. Oil and Grease are important components in most industries and they are a major part of a waste water stream, hence specific systems need to be designed to keep them out of the discharged waters.

Polaris team of experts have experience of engineering advanced Oil Screening & Grease Removal Systems across various industries. Our solutions include water treatment solutions for floating oil, emulsified oil and dissolved oil. Our systems are designed to offer cost effective solutions that are customised to industry requirements.

Processes used by Polaris for Oil Screening & Grease Removal

Flotation

Flotation accelerates the separation of oils and greases by introducing micro-bubbles of air into the wastewater which then lift the oil droplets and fat particles to the surface, where they form a foam layer.

Gravity Separation

Since oils and fats are lighter than water, they naturally rise to the surface, forming a separate layer that can be skimmed off. Conversely, heavier impurities settle at the bottom of the tank, facilitating easy removal.

Chemical Treatment

Chemical methods involve using oxidizing or reducing agents to break down the chemical structure of oils and fats, making it easier to remove them from wastewater.
